Inspirations

Throughout my life I have been fortunate enough to come across people who have helped shaped my worldview. It is through their work and efforts that I have directly benefited and achieved a higher state of understanding.

Inspirational People [People that I admire]

Federico Pistono is one of a kind. Many of my visions and dreams stem from the work done by Pistono as a social entrepreneur and a scientific educator. His current project, Esplori, aims to make the sum of all human knowledge available to everyone in the world, in any language. This project represents the evolution of the internet and the importance of open source education that is not purely English.
Federico was the first one to introduce the simple concept of science, art, and activism merging as one to create a positive force in this world. As my site slogan reassured, this has had a profound effect on my worldview.
Of his other projects, his book, “Robots Will Steal Your Job, But That’s OK: How to Survive the Economic Collapse and be Happy” represents a possible solution to the incoming ‘issue’ of technological unemployment.

Salman KhanSal-Khan1 (educator) has perhaps directly enhanced my life more so than any other human being on the planet.

As the creator of Khan Academy, he has giving me the gift of mathematics. Not just the understanding of mathematics, but the fulfillment and enjoyment that exists within mathematics. His teaching style has influenced my potential career choice and ultimately my dreams for a better future. When I am tutoring others I apply Sal’s style and excitement about the topic. Through his Academy, I have learned that with hard work and time, anyone can learn.

It is to Sal’s credit that today I have advanced well beyond the Academy’s subject list, but I still regularly learn and re-learn past topics thanks to the enjoyment that I receive from hearing him lecture.

Check out and begin learning at Khan Academy.

Claudio Ugalde (educator, astrophysicists) is my first research professor that I have had the honor of working under. I have worked with professor Ugalde for over two years and his research abilities and educational talents are a model for which I seek to achieve.
